Eco Living Organic Solutions has been created to share all the amazing ways that organic products can be utilized in order to work towards a sustainable lifestyle. Products derived from EM are the basis to these organic products. We feel that this technology can become the solution to a lot of the worlds environmental problems.

At Eco Living Organic Solutions, we understand that EM isn’t just a product, it’s a lifestyle.

What is EM? EM is the abbreviation of Effective Microorganisms. It is a mixed microbial culture of selected species of microorganisms such as lactic acid bacterial, yeasts, photosynthetic bacteria and actinomycetes. All of these are mutually compatible with each other and coexist in liquid culture.

Throughout the 1970s and 80s Dr. Teruo Higa from the University of Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan pioneered the research that led to the development and commercialization of EM technology. This natural and organic biotechnology has since been successfully commercialized throughout world markets in human health, agriculture, livestock and industrial waste treatment. Thousands of research and efficacy studies have been conducted and documented in projects, conferences and books around the world. Now ELOS is bringing EM here to you.

EM in our Community
EM has such a wide range of uses that I believe it can be utilized in every aspect of our community. Eco Living Organic Solutions will work with each and every community member to reach a more sustainable lifestyle within their home and gardens. As composting is our number one focus, we hope to assist anyone who is not composting their organic waste to implement our user friendly system. We will utilize our cleaner more efficient method to pickup and process organics for those who don’t have anywhere to put the waste so that we can cycle it back into the islanders hands for farming and gardening. As well We will work hard with Organic Farmers to produce higher healthier yeilding crops for other islanders to enjoy. For livestock, poultry and equine operations, we will help to reduce the smells and buildup of manure to reduce any contamination or poor air quality.

In liquid and solid waste treatment EM will help to control odours and increase the reduction of solids. We will help cleaning companies to introduce the healthy microbes of EM to overtake bad odour causing bacteria and pathogens thus creating a more naturally clean environment in the home and workplace. We will work with the youth of the island through school programs to enstill sustainable living techniques including the recycling of organic waste.
